Onto the next ramen post 🍜:
Takezo might be my fav ramen I‘ve tried in Ddorf so far 😍! It’s the one that is closest to the main station, some footsteps away from Teamate and Tain‘s supermarket. Funny thing: I‘ve walked this street thousand times already, yet I‘ve never really noticed this restaurant 😆 or let’s say, I saw their posters outside saying that they sell ramen but I‘ve never considered trying it because the place looked unspectacular from outside. And that’s another lesson on never to judge a book by its cover 😅.
The first time I tried Takezo was with @isabellannhi in April. I had the “Kara Miso Ramen” which is seasoned with soy bean paste and served with braised chashu, sweet corn and soybean sprouts. I’m not sure if the broth is also made from pork bones but it was super creamy and rich as well. And wooow, that was such a good lunch, perfect to combat the cold, windy April weather.
The second time, I went with my family at almost midnight for a late dinner, haha. The pic shows the “Kara Shoyu Ramen” that I tried that day. With this one, soy sauce is incorporated in the broth and it comes with bamboo sprouts, seaweed and chashu like the other one.
At both times, the pork belly was incredibly smooth, having that melt-in-your-mouth character. The slices were thinner than the ones at Takumi Tonkotsu, but I would even prefer them over a thick-cut because it’s less filling, giving your stomach more room for the other components 🤣. I loved the noodles since they were a bit thicker and slightly soft. The real deal though is their broth 🙌🏼: it wasn’t too salty, had a rich aroma and a perfect spice level that gives you that slight burn in your throat, still allowing you to enjoy your dish without suffering 😜.
So whenever I feel like eating ramen, I know I can get my trusty bowl of warm goodness at Takezo 😌.
